The activities I do and the number of friends in Indonesia are arguably much more than when I was in Hong Kong. I have a lot of activities during school hours, after school hours, and on holidays.

During school break time often talk with friends, eat Chicken Noodles, and Pastel

During school breaks, the most common thing I do is talk and joke with my friends in the hall or sit on the front row of the class. Sometimes when I am hungry, I usually buy pastel in the school canteen. Incidentally, the mother of one of my classmates managed the school canteen at that time. Currently, my classmate also runs a culinary business and passes on her mother's pastel recipes.

After my break time for sports or scout lessons, I also like to eat "Pak Ateng" chicken noodles in other canteens managed by Mr. Ateng and his wife. Every time I go to Indonesia and reunite with the teachers of Seruni Don Bosco Pondok Indah Junior High School, my Biology teacher Mrs. Tutik always orders "Pak Ateng" chicken noodles for me, but unfortunately Mr. Ateng has passed away and his wife has also passed away, then this restaurant has been closed and I can no longer eat chicken noodles which I think is the best in Indonesia.

Photograph taken by a school teacher in the 1990s when the junior high school area was borrowed by the high school to conduct an activity. The area under the black roof is a canteen that sells pastel and other snacks.

This area is where the classroom of Seruni Don Bosco Pondok Indah Junior High School is located. My school friends and I often sit near the entrance of the classroom to talk.

The school hall is used by junior high and high school. The area is the most crowded place during class breaks. But the school building was purchased by Pondok Indah Hospital in the mid-1990s, and Don Bosco kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and high school moved to Jalan Duta Indah, Pondok Indah.

After school, stop by aunt number 2's house to swim or take lessons in table tennis and tennis

After school hours ended, my cousin, my uncle number 7, and I were picked up by the driver to my aunt's house to swim. This became a routine for the three of us, and during junior high school, we always won 1st-3rd place if there was a swimming competition at school.

In addition, the three of us also took table tennis lessons 2 times a week and tennis lessons once a week.

Private tutoring by a tutor who is probably the most patient in all of Indonesia

After swimming, we usually take private lessons at aunt number 2's house with my male cousin and uncle number 7. Our tutor is still very young, named Mr. Tejo. He is the most patient person I have ever met, so we always play with Mr. Tejo.

Our tutoring room is a small workspace, but it can accommodate the four of us, and there is a small garden that also has a wall grille. The small garden then became the place where the Eagle bird that I told you about in one of the previous articles was placed. One day, one of us disguised himself as a ghost and hid behind the garden glass to scare Mr. Tejo. We knew he was very afraid of ghosts. Mr. Tejo was never angry with us and was always patient in teaching us; our grades were also getting better under his upbringing.

Toy guns and looking for targets by going around the streets around the Kemang area by car

This was very unkind and resulted in our toy guns being thrown away by my mother and aunt number 2, and in us losing our pocket money.

I, my male cousin, and uncle number 7 sometimes asked the driver to bring a Kijang car with dark glass to go around the area around Kemang with a toy gun filled with small plastic bullets. Our goal is to target middle and high school kids of other schools and shoot their buttocks or legs. When we saw their reaction in shock then we would laugh out loud at that time.

One day I climbed on the roof of aunt number 2's house and shot the motorcyclist who was passing in front of the house. At that time, I saw a motorcycle driver with no hair without a helmet heading towards my aunt's house; then I shot him and hit him in the head. The man saw me on the roof of the house and got off the motorcycle and then got angry with my aunt. After that, our toy guns were thrown away, and since then we are no longer allowed to buy toy guns. My pocket money was also reduced for several months.

During summer vacation cousins from Surabaya came to Jakarta and often told ghost stories at night

The semester holidays were the most exciting times for me, because 3 cousins of aunt number 1 who lived in Surabaya (1 brother cousin, 1 sister cousin, and 1 brother cousin) came to Jakarta, and they stayed at my house and sometimes at aunt number 2's house.

The activities that we often did were swimming in the swimming pool of my aunt's house and gathering crowds and ghost stories by turning off the room lights and lighting candles. Once all the candles suddenly went out on their own, and we all screamed in fear.

Sometimes after we finished swimming, we often took a nap on the floor of my female cousin's room, because her room was the largest and could fit all of us.

One time I woke up early and saw the room getting dark because the curtains of the room were all closed. The female cousin's room had many drawers with glass. When I woke up, I automatically looked at the glass and then I screamed loudly because I saw my face go black. My screams caused the other cousins to wake up and join in the screaming with me, because they all had dark faces as well. It turned out that while we were taking a nap, aunt number 2 smeared our faces with charcoal.

In the next article, I will tell you about our move to a new house and the mystical things I experienced in the new house.
